Creating UMAMI Catering's branding

Development of the visual identity for Enora Mahé, founder of Umami Traiteur, an ethical catering service based in the Pays d’Uzerche.
This branding collaboration began with in-depth conceptual research on local and seasonal products to be visually highlighted. The careful selection of representative foods – local vegetables, aromatic herbs, farm products – reflects Enora’s commitment to responsible sourcing and showcasing the Corrèze region.
The logo design is based on the proportions of the golden ratio (1:1.618 ratio) to arrange each graphic element with perfect mathematical harmony. This geometric approach echoes Umami Traiteur’s pursuit of culinary perfection: just as Enora Mahé balances flavors and textures according to ideal proportions, the logo construction uses the divine proportion to create optimal visual balance.
The golden ratio, naturally present in plant spirals and organic structures, symbolically reinforces the connection between this brand identity and the caterer’s eco-responsible approach.
